Statistics have shown that over summer vacation, many students lose a bit of what they have learned throughout the year. Reading tends to be at the top of that list.
We want our students, your children, to be able to retain what they’ve learned, but we also want the kids to have fun and enjoy their summer. So how can we balance both of those things?
Between the media and society, there are so many authoritarian figures telling us what to think. There are times when people that society deems important present us with facts and things that encourage what we should think, and then there are times that they don’t.
We want children to be able to respect leaders and those in authority, but we also want them to be able to know how to think for themselves - not just because someone told them what to think.
The life science classes recently learned about amphibians. After discussing the classification, habitats, and body systems the classes were able to dissect a frog to get a better understanding of their anatomy.
