Payment Policies

  • Enrollment fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Tuition is due on the 1st of each month, August through May, divided into 10 equal monthly payments regardless of holiday breaks.
  • If payment is not received by the 5th of the month, a $50 late fee will be assessed. Students may be dismissed for non-payment.
  • If the 5th falls on a holiday or weekend, tuition will be accepted the following school day without a late fee.
  • Recurring monthly credit card payments are charged on the 25th of the month for the upcoming month's tuition.
  • All credit card payments include a 3% convenience fee.
  • A $75 fee will be charged for returned checks due to insufficient funds or payment errors.
  • Pay-in-Full Discount: A 5% discount is offered when the family's annual tuition balance is paid in full by August 1st. For students receiving a scholarship or other tuition assistance, the discount applies only to the portion of tuition owed and paid by the family after the scholarship is applied. Scholarship and assistance amounts are not eligible for the discount, and the discount is not calculated on full tuition.

Example: If annual tuition is $12,255 and a student receives a $2,255 scholarship, the family's balance is $10,000. If that $10,000 is paid in full by August 1, the discount is 5% of $10,000 ($500), not 5% of $12,255.
  • Annual (paid-in-full) tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. Families who withdraw before the end of the school year will not receive a refund.
  • To qualify as a returning student for Re-Enrollment Fee discounts, the student must have attended Crenshaw Academy the previous academic year.
  • Late enrollees may be subject to enrollment fees for the next school year.

Family Billing & Payment Policy

Crenshaw Academy maintains one financial account per family, regardless of the number of students enrolled. Invoices may list charges separately for each student; however, all charges are combined into a single family account balance.

  • Individual student balances are not maintained or provided.
  • Partial payments reduce the family's overall outstanding balance and are not applied to a specific student.
  • Account statements reflect the total amount due for the family.
  • Payment plans, late fees, financial holds, and account standing are based on the family's total outstanding balance.
  • Financial holds, record releases, and payment obligations apply to the family account, not individual students.

Withdrawal & Records Release

If a student withdraws, we request at least 30 days' advance written notice.

Student records, transcripts, report cards, diplomas, and any other official school records will not be released until the family's financial account is paid in full or current according to an approved payment arrangement.

All fees and policies are subject to change at the discretion of the administration. Please refer to the Parent & Student Handbook for the complete Tuition & Withdrawal Policy.
